Real estate has changed our lives in very real ways. Combining what we’ve lived and learned, we’re committed to serving others, sharing our knowledge, and making a meaningful impact.
Kim: I’ve been around real estate my whole life. My grandfather and uncle were both general contractors, and my aunt was a successful real estate agent. Growing up around construction taught me what goes into a well-built home and how to recognize potential in a property.
After earning my business degree from Cal State Long Beach, I became a licensed REALTOR® in 2001. From the beginning, I loved connecting with people, walking them through major life changes, and being a resource they could rely on. Over the years, I’ve seen both strong markets and difficult ones—including living through the market crash—which shaped how I think about planning ahead and helping people make decisions that hold up over time.
When my husband and I joined a real estate investment group in 2015, we had one goal: build long-term financial stability. We chose the buy-and-hold route and acquired five rental properties across Texas and Tennessee. Each home was purchased outright, and rental income was used to pay off the next. Within five years, we fully owned all five homes.
As our needs changed, being closer to family became more important. We simplified through a 1031 exchange and purchased a condo in Southern California to have a place near loved ones when we want to visit. We did it completely debt-free, and it still generates monthly income while giving us flexibility as life changes.
Real estate is a tool that can be used in different ways depending on your goals. Yes, it builds wealth, but it also creates options and supports people through different chapters of life. That shared belief is what makes my partnership with Christa Proctor such a natural fit. We’ve worked together before, share the same values, and believe real estate is about relationships, trust, and helping people move into the next season of their lives confidently.
Christa: There was a time when my family barely made it. We were losing our home, living on food stamps, and our two oldest daughters were diagnosed with autism. Our income that year was just over $11,000 for a family of six. It was the hardest and most uncertain time of our lives.
My parents were pastors in Roseville, California, and from a young age, I learned the importance of honesty, integrity, and service. When my parents stepped down, my husband and I became Senior Pastors of the church. We both stepped away from our full-time jobs to meet the demands of that role. Then the 2007–08 market crash hit. The church was growing in size but shrinking financially. At the same time, our two oldest daughters required years of intense therapeutic care due to their autism diagnoses. There were periods when my husband and I had little to no income.
Facing all of this, I took a leap of faith and earned my real estate license. Industry leader Brent Gove took a chance on me, providing training to build my business. I hosted dozens of open houses and focused on meeting people face to face every day. My father would remind me that there is always a sowing period before reaping the harvest.
After five months, I had my first closing. That night we went to Red Robin to enjoy our first real meal out in a long time. That’s when my husband and I realized our lives had just changed.
Real estate changed our lives and became another way to serve. It taught me patience, perseverance, and the responsibility that comes with guiding people through important decisions. As a REALTOR® and a person of faith, my job is to create meaningful connections with the people who live here. Through my work, our church, and community involvement like hosting City Impact Radio, I’m always striving to share knowledge, make an impact, and serve people well—and I truly love what I do.
We’ve personally navigated many of the same challenges and decisions our clients face, which gives us real insight into the emotional decision-making process and what to consider as you navigate through it. Whether someone is buying their first home, navigating a difficult life transition, or looking to invest and begin building long-term wealth through real estate, we help them understand their options and move forward confidently. Having the right people in your corner can make all the difference, which is why we strive to be professionals you simply can’t afford not to work with.
Together, we’re able to provide a higher level of care and attention throughout the entire process. We stay closely aligned, communicate constantly, and make sure clients always know what’s happening and why. We help predict outcomes, identify and avoid common pitfalls, negotiate firmly on your behalf, and educate you on your options so you can make confident decisions. We want you to feel supported, informed, and protected every step of the way.
If you’re looking for reliable, trustworthy real estate professionals who will treat your goals like their own, we’d love the opportunity to work with you!
Sincerely,
